Defense.net is looking for a rock star Ruby on Rails Developer to join our small, well funded, start-up to lead our Customer Portal development. The ideal candidate should be passionate, creative, flexible, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy tackling technical problems. ===== Belmont, CA ===== Job Description: Develop within the Ruby on Rails framework Architect solutions to a set of complex problems Play a key role in the development of best practices in software design, implementation, and coding standards Perform unit and system level testing on their application and all affected systems Working directly with other teams, such as Operations and Sales, to manage requirements Additional Skills Desired: Optimally 5+ years working experience with Ruby on Rails, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and SQL Experience with various testing frameworks Motivated and willing to learn about a new business domain and be willing to explore new technologies and trends Experience delivering enterprise software strongly preferred Should have knowledge regarding website design and usability Ability to communicate with both technical and non­technical peers ===== Defense.net is currently a start-up in stealth mode.
